Rothbury proudly supporting charitable organisations
Rothbury is proud to be giving back to the local communities where we live and work. We have highlighted below a few examples where we have proudly supported charitable organisations across the country.
Rothbury is a key partner of the Graeme Dingle Foundation, a charity chosen by our people to help young Kiwis aged 5 to 18. The Graeme Dingle Foundation works with Aotearoa New Zealand’s tamariki and rangatahi at different life stages, working directly with schools and communities. They deliver programmes in 137 schools across New Zealand, reaching over 27,000 young people each week.
Graeme Dingle Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Jo Malcolm Black, says investing in early intervention programmes like Kiwi Can which build foundational skills in young people will help to support positive behaviour change and resilience in students across the country.
Rothbury staff members volunteer and take part in the charity’s initiatives to support our country’s youth. This includes career mentoring, class visits, community projects or fundraising activities.
“Our branch has loved taking part in a variety of Graeme Dingle Foundation initiatives. Over the last three years we’ve been presenting to schools on financial literacy and interview skills. We hope that we can help to develop skills that students will be able to carry through to their adult lives.” Kim Matthews, Branch Manager, Hawke’s Bay
“Rothbury’s support continues to have a significant impact on over 27,000 students nationwide, who are benefiting from opportunities for social and emotional learning. Your ongoing, genuine passion to help young people continues to blow us away". Monique Sanna, Partnerships and Events Manager, Graeme Dingle Foundation

Changing lives one bike at a time
Our Southern Lakes branch is proud to support the Up-Cycles Charitable Trust (Up-Cycles). This charitable organisation is a place for fixing, refurbishing, adapting & donating bikes, and a learning space for those in need.
Up-Cycles is dedicated to improving the health and well-being in the Otago region by making bike riding accessible to everyone in the community including those who cannot afford to buy and adapting bikes for those with disabilities or diverse learning issues.
We are financially assisting and supporting Up-Cycles with the purchase of a new van (alongside the Hugo Charitable Trust and Central Otago Motor Group). This new van will enable Up-Cycles to carry out their community work more efficiently and effectively.
“We have been fortunate to have Jason Bodmin and the great team from Rothbury Southern Lakes on board with the Up-Cycles Charitable Trust since 2023. The funding they are providing to help us purchase a new van is an absolute game changer. We will now be able to travel further at a more economic rate and carry more bikes and equipment to enable future education programmes in our community. I look forward to working with Jason and his team as our charity develops and continues to do good in our region.” Chris Foggin, Managing Director, Up-Cycles Charitable Trust
